Oil on canvas, signed Aage Wang (pseudonym of Scottish-born painter Mark Osman Curtis, 1879–1959) at the lower right. Executed circa 1900–1920. The painting depicts a peaceful rural landscape with grazing cows, a farmhouse, and rolling fields by a lake under a soft sky—an atmospheric example of Curtis’s favored motifs. Curtis, who worked under several pseudonyms including Aage Wang, moved to Denmark in the early 20th century.
