French Impressionist

Taking inspiration from the unruly aspects of the natural world, Art Nouveau influenced art and architecture, especially in the applied arts, graphic work, and illustration. It was a reaction to the historicism that dominated 19th-century art and design, and sought to create a new style that unified the fine and applied arts.
