This painting touched my heart. I chose an abstract background because of the abstraction of our daily lives and the theme of this image of God’s hand reaching down for us is ever present and a reminder that we can all use hope, peace and love in our lives. The idea from this painting came from a friend’s story of her grandmother in a concentration camp during World War II and how she felt God’s presence every day during her ordeal and the feeling that he preserved her life each day. That story touched my heart and the courage and faith this woman had spawned a generation of strong survivors. This is a 20″x 20″ x 1.5″ Gallery Wrapped canvas oil painting that is varnished and should last for generations.
