Framed Gil Dellinger Pastel Painting Description and Item Information Up for sale is this beautiful pastel painting by the listed California artist, Gil Dellinger. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This still life depicts three objects (two onions and what may be a tangerine) atop a board which rests on a rustic, blue table. The sight area within the thick, woven mat measures approximately 16 1/2 inches by 23 1/8 inches. This is nicely framed under glass in a dark wooden frame with gray highlights. The exterior frame measurements are about 24 7/8 inches by 31 1/2 inches. Unpacked, this heavy piece weighs about 11 pounds. It would make a nice addition to a collection of American fine art. Identification This pastel is by Gil Dellinger (1942-), a listed artist on askART. The age of this piece is not known. Verso, there is a label from a Stockton, California frame shop. Per askART, Dellinger graduated from the San Francisco State University with his M.A.. He became an art professor at the University of the Pacific in Stockton. I have not examined the art outside of the frame, since it was already nicely framed when I acquired it. The frame looks very good, with light wear overall; the frame has a few very small dents/dings. The black paper backing has some minor rips. In my opinion, this piece of art is ready to hang and enjoy. Please review the description and photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to bidding or buying. Terms of Sale 1.
